‘RED’DY FOR CHRISTMAS?

November 4th, 2011 by lmoore

Almost every morning as I listen to the radio getting ready for work, I am informed how many shopping days are left until Christmas. I’m not sure if this is to create a sense of panic and hysteria,or a gentle reminder of how close we actually are to 25th December!

So, taking the ‘gentle reminder’ approach, I am informing all our customers that there is still ample time to create some fabulous Christmas displays (before the inevitable panic and hysteria take hold.)

Still in need of inspiration? What about ‘monochrome with a twist’?

Our showroom display was actually prompted by our new range of BAUBLE TASSLES, available in red, black and white. Fun and sophistication in equal measures…

With our display extending across an entire wall, we have used 3 ranges of trees: WHITE KOSTER, BLACK SLIMLINE and RED SLIMLINE. Feel free to add garlands and wreaths in corresponding colours or mix’n'match to your heart’s content.

No need to overdress your trees this year, a clever mix of matt, shiny and glitter round baubles will give you a classic look, or use RETRO baubles for a more vintage appeal. If jewels or feathers tickle your fancy, we got ‘em too!

Not enough room for a tree, then a set of our new RED WOVEN GLITTERED STARS will brighten up any corner?

Still not convinced? Check out this great display designed by Tam Lever at ‘Not Rocket Science’ for Arsenal Football Club. It looks like a winner to us!

Visit our showroom and sample the full range of colours on offer, you’ll see that Christmas isn’t so black and white…

‘PISTE’ DE RESISTANCE!

October 24th, 2011 by egaudino

Summer over? Temperature dropping? Don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom – here at DZD we’ve got some fabulous new products to take the chill off and lift the spirits. Check out our snowy peaks!

Picture the scene…snowy mountains, blue skies, alpine forests, roaring fires and mulled wine…sounds like ’ski season’ is almost upon us once again. (I can almost hear Bing Crosby crooning in the background)

As you slide down the slope (escalator) into our festive showroom, you will be transported to another time and place with our St Moritz-inspired display.

Combining our FLOCKED NORWAY SPRUCE trees with sparkly, iridescent STARGEM and MOONDUST fabrics, we have created our own little slice of alpine heaven for you.

Throw in a few snowballs, lights and a twinkly snowflake here and there, and your ‘winter paradise’ is complete.

We were tempted to throw in a few Mary Maxim knitted classics too, but we’re keeping those in our wardrobe for the chilly mornings on the bus travelling to work!

Unlike other DZD Chritsmas tree ranges, the FLOCKED NORWAY SPRUCE have a flat open spread of branches, offering the perfect platform to showcase your own unique products, although our robins look fairly content…

With all these wonderful products on offer, there is no need to be ‘piste off’ – so, slip into the showroom for a closer inspection (not a mogul in sight)

It’s downhill all the way – see you at the bottom for an eggnog?

Halloween

October 3rd, 2011 by Katie Bonken

Halloween is creeping up on you….

Morrissons have featured an array of our products in their Halloween inspired leaflet, feel free to take a look on ‘DZD in the press’ on our website for inspiration with décor and ideas to modify the most mundane of meeting places into dens for the most dangerous of liasons.

This Halloween why not try something new? There are many devilish opportunities to entice even the most sweet and sugary of you into naughty escapades.

Selfridges – Ann Summers will be opening their first ever pop up shop as part of its ‘Dead Cool’ Halloween campaign. It launched in the midst of London fashion week as part of the Selfridges ‘Dead Cool’ Halloween campaign.

If you have no concrete plans maybe try a Halloween Ball, there are plenty to choose from for Halloween inspired mischief and merry mayhem – Decorate yourself or transform the norm into something more battered and torn. Try adding a flourish of ribbon, voile or create some earrings that would put Pat Butcher to shame with DZD’s glittery spiderwebs!

Here is a snippet of what’s on offer…

The beautiful and the damned – Le Zombie Orchestra play amongst others on New Kent Road for ‘The Halloween Masked Ball’

Buried Alive Halloween Ball – Try being in a better location than the tombs at London Bridge!
