A Door to…
A door is a promise of something. Sometimes it’s a promise of comfort and familiarity, your home, for instance. We all know the feeling of opening that particular door. But what if the door in question offers excitement, even mystery? How enticing is that? And if it’s the festive season, well, surely you just have to step right on through!
When Russell suggested we do a shoot based around a fairly abstract representation of doorway to “somewhere”, some of us had our doubts. Thinking it through, however, we realised that doors and entrances of all sorts are some of the most common projects we become involved with. Each one makes its own promise – fantastic shopping, fine dining, comfortable bedrooms and all with the extra magical twist of Christmas. Our “concept door” tries to bring that sense of fun and anticipation to life.
