London Fashion Week is upon us and with it comes a six day industry event that allows new and experienced designers to showcase their collections to buyers, journalists, bloggers and celebrities.
LFW 2017 will be a sea of glitz and glam from designers, participators and onlookers, but what we are looking forward to, is seeing which retailers out there celebrate LFW in their windows. After all, this is the event that gives the high street an insight into what we’ll be wearing next season!
We’ve put together our top picks from on and around Oxford Street – London’s’ Fashion Centre.
Debenhams certainly caught our eyes with this scheme, forgoing the “London Fashion Week” signature font and layout, they have created a display that ‘celebrates’ London Fashion Week, and that will no doubt blend in with the rest of their spring scheme once finished.
Another brand forgoing LFW font and layout is H&M who have come up with a runway of mannequins in their windows on Oxford Circus. A lot of depth and good use of mannequin positioning really brings this window to life.
River Island has created a more casual vibe in their window, creating a display that shows London Fashion Week from a blogger’s view. With branded umbrellas and an emphasis on the word ‘Fashion’, we certainly know what they are trying to convey.
High-end handbag designer Mulberry, have created a moving background of mirrored and block colour screens with a neon rock star hand, inspired by Mulberry’s Britannia and new Creative Director Johnny Coca.
And finally, Principal Sponsor - Sunglass Hut, have used technology in their windows to create a much more engaging window scheme to draw customers to their windows and showcase their range on-screen. With GB coloured graphics it’s one not to be missed.
