London has been even more colourful than usual this past week with the arrival of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019. Chelsea in Bloom always showcases the very best of creativity and community spirit in the capital, and this year was no exception! We’ve rounded up a few of our favourite displays – gorgeous examples of what imaginative thinking and artistic installation can achieve…
As always, Annabel’s leads the charge with a show-stopping display. The club’s façade was entirely hidden beneath a solid floral wall, with the sheer size of the installation ensuring it stands out from the crowd!
All for Love London fully embraced this year’s Under the Sea theme in their various main installations throughout Chelsea, but our favourite has to be this gorgeous fresh flower orca display on Pavilion Road – at 5m high it towered over onlookers and shopfronts in the area.
J Crew stayed fairly traditional with their beautiful, dense flower arch – but we certainly have no issue with traditional when it’s executed so brilliantly! The Under the Sea colour palette combined with plenty of lush green foliage makes for a truly eye-catching entrance.
And last but certainly not least, our personal favourite is this wonderful installation from Harry’s Dolce Vita. Harry’s Little Mermaid reminiscent display is the perfect combination of Instagram-worthy prettiness and interactive fun – and if the subsequent volume of social media posts is anything to go by, it was certainly a hit with the public!
Congratulations to all involved for another year of breath-taking installations, setting the scene perfectly for a summer full of original, inventive yet light-hearted floral creations… I don’t know about you, but we’re certainly inspired!
