John Lewis – A Different Perspective
A playful reinvention of Christmas to make everyone smile
John Lewis engaged us to supply bespoke decorations in a wide variety of materials for instore displays, atriums and windows.
JLP wanted a wide range of design elements in a variety of materials and sizes, with iconic retro styling made comforting by using memories from the past. The theme was to play with ideas of scale, tradition and perspective
Process and Products Used
For the shop floor chandeliers we created strings of gift boxes with a bespoke geometric print and ombre shaded sisal Christmas trees, both in green and red, mirrored silver disc shapes and handmade glittered brussels sprouts.
The sisal trees were also made in larger sizes in mirrored box bases for counter tops.
The same theme was pulled through to the atriums and windows, where we created the sisal trees in much bigger sizes to make the best use of the spaces available.
The finished display perfectly fitted the JLP brief of looking at traditional Christmas shapes from a fresh perspective, and we were very pleased with the feedback it received.
