This shot recalls those perfect old fashioned “White Christmas” days, just as the sun goes down. If you’re lucky, you’ll be in a chalet in Austria or Switzerland, looking out on the scene with a glass of glühwein in your hand and a huge log fire at your back. More importantly, we wanted to have a go at conjuring up that essence of Christmas using a selection of our most popular off the shelf products.

One of the things we love about this set up is how the large baubles reflect not just the lights from the trees and the artificial (and environmentally friendly) snow, but also whatever was going on in front of the display. Perfect for a shopping centre with its Christmas decorations, colourful shopfronts and excited customers, but also great for a party venue. And with that in mind we asked a well known AI to mock up a Christmas party with our scene as a backdrop. Looks like a great party!

Finally, we had a play with placing warm white curtain lights in front of the trees and arranging them like stage curtains. We felt it didn’t quite come off, and time had become a bit short, but perhaps there’s the germ of an idea there that you could make work.
